Annapurna Circuit Trek Overview

The Annapurna Circuit Trek only started welcoming foreigners in 1977 AD. Over the last 48 years, it has been one of Nepal's most challenging and beautiful treks. This 18-day-long trek starts from Dharapani and ends in the Stunning valley of Pokhara.

Annapurna Circuit Trek is 160-230 Km (100-145 miles) long, based on the route and mode of transport you choose. Thorong La pass is the Highest Point on the Annapurna Circuit Trek, about 5416 meters (17769 feet) above sea level.

Trekkers hike through rice paddies, forests, and high waterfalls on the lower elevation level. As the trekkers ascend into the mid-altitude zone, you will witness an old village like Chame and Upper Pisang. They have a Tibetan-influenced culture. As you continue walking to the high Himalayas, the scenery is replaced by rugged terrains, glacial moraines, and mountain views.

While hiking down, the trails take a different route, Muktinath, Jomsom, Tatopani, Ghorepani, Poon Hill and finally the end point of the trek Nayapul. Explore the airport and the apple orchards in Jomson. Hot spring of Tatopani, sunrise/sunset of Poon hill and the most famous Temple in Muktinath offers a unique site of Nepalese culture and lifestyle.
