The cultural richness and Himalayan glory of this place excel, and the beauty of glacial lakes will surely make amused. The path is less packed, and the individuals are very kind and pleasant.

The trek combines Langtang Valley Trek with a walk to Gosaikunda Lake. Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking is a young trekking section of Nepal with the less explored lands, virgin Langtang National Park, the wilderness of mountains with a classic touch of Tibetan Buddhist religion.

Gosaikunda Lake, which lies on the route, is a popular site for Hindu pilgrims around the globe. So, the Gosaikunda trekking is not just popular for its natural magnificence but for its religious significance.

Langtang Gosaikunda Trek- Trekking to Langtang Valley

The Langtang Gosaikunda trekking begins with a quick drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi. After a memorable sightseeing tour around some heritage sites in Kathmandu, we head towards Syabrubensi.

Syabrubensi is the actual commencement point of our Langtang Gosaikunda Trek. From here, we follow a trail that goes through villages and ascends upstream of the Langtang river along with the forests to Bamboo.

Enjoying the pristine environment, the trail climbs up through the forests of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak to Lama Hotel. Then Leaving Lama Hotel, we follow a trail that leads us to Langtang village via Ghoda Tabela. At Ghoda Tabela, we can catch the first glimpse of Langtang Lirung. As we open up to the Langtang village, it will shower us with some magnificent views of Langtang Himal, Langtang Lirung, and other mountains in the Langtang range in the Langtang valley.

Langtang village is a beautiful place to spend your time in. Here, you can visit a famous monastery known as Kyanjin gompa. Further, you can hike up to Kynajin Ri from where you can relish the magnificence of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and various other mountains in the Langtang range. Even the Langtang valley looks spectacular from up there.

Langtang village is a traditional village that treasures the ancient Tamang culture and the Tibetan Buddhist religion. A Yak cheese factory in the village is trendy for pure yak cheese. You can explore the factory and taste the cheese. If interested, you can purchase the cheese and take it back home as a souvenir from Nepal’s Langtang region. This can be a gift from Langtang Gosaikunda Trek to your family and friends.

Gosaikunda Lake Trek

Proceeding with Langtang Gosainkunda Lake Trek, we return to Lama Hotel and head towards Thulo Syabru. Traversing through the lush forested area, we climb uphill to Thulo Syabru and ascend towards Sing Gompa. As we move ahead, the clear and close view of Ganesh Himal unfolds right before us.

Finally, making our way along the classic trail in Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, we open up to Gosaikunda Lake, a holy lake for Hindu pilgrims. People believe that the Gosaikunda Lake was formed when Lord Shiva pierced the mountain with his trident to quench his thirst caused due to swallowing poison. It is a beautiful lake that lies in a spectacular location in the backdrop of the beautiful Himalayas. After spending some beautiful time in the lake’s periphery and taking a holy dip into the Gosaikunda Lake, we embark on our journey back to Kathmandu.
