Sadly, many visitors have to return because they do not have enough time to accomplish the standard trek to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp). Keeping the fact into consideration, Heaven Himalaya presents a concise form of the Annapurna Base Camp hike, i.e., the Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek.

What does the Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek Package offer?

This trek is popular for mountain views and scenic views of verdant hills, valleys, and forests. So, if lucky, one may glimpse short animals like rhesus monkeys, bears, leopards, musk deer, etc. within the dense wood of pine, oak, and rhododendron.

Apart from this, the Short Annapurna Base Camp Trekking tour introduces us to the rich culture of various ethnic groups living in the area. Walking past the ethnic villages on the route is an opportunity to enjoy the locals’ great hospitality and know about the locals, their culture, custom, and lifestyle.

Itinerary

A representative from our team will wait for you at the arrival terminal of Kathmandu airport. Make sure you look after a person with your nameplate! The representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. As you check into the hotel, the representative will give you a synopsis of our plans for the short Annapurna trek ahead. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, we take a morning flight to Pokhara. It is a 25-minute flight full of mountain views. As soon as we reach Pokhara Airport, we take a short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. It’s around half an hour's drive from Pokhara city. At Nayapul, we get out of our ride and start walking along a trail that leads us to Ghorepani. First, we walk along the Modi Khola to Birenthanti. Nayapul is the starting point of the short Annapurna Trek. Birenthanti is a large village with many houses, teahouses, and lodges. We walk past the village and follow the Bhurungdi river for a while. Then the trail climbs up to Hile. After a quick climb from Hile, we reach Tikhedhunga. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Tikhedhunga.

We leave Tikhedhunga and make our way up to Ghorepani. First, we cross a suspension bridge over a stream near Tikhedhunga and climb up along a stone-paved staircase. The stairs up are too many, at around 3000–3500 in number. As we climb up the stairs, we open up to the village of Ulleri, which is mostly inhabited by people of the Magar community. We follow a short Annapurna trail with pastures and cultivated farmland to Nangethanti and finally to Ghorepani. As we open up to Ghorepani's village, we can see the mountains so close to us. It’s truly a beautiful village that sits in the backdrop of the beautiful Annapurna massif. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Ghorepani.

We wake up early and hike up to Poonhill to catch the sunrise. The golden sun's rays fall upon the glittering snow of the Annapurna massif; it’s just so outstanding. From Poonhill, we get some magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Macchapucchre, Langtang Himal, Manaslu Himal, and many more. This is one of the best moments of the entire short Annapurna trek. After a wonderful start to the day with the heart-whelming views of the mountains, we return to the guesthouse for breakfast and start descending to Tadapani. We walk past a lush, forested area to get to Tadapani. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Tadapani.

Today, we leave Tadapani and make our way to the easy and short Annapurna Trek along a forested route, enjoying some classic views of lush valleys and stunning mountains. As we march ahead, we climb steeply above the west bank of the Modi Khola river. On the way, we pass through the enchanting village of Chomorong, which lies just below the roof of Hiunchuli Himal. From Chomorong, we walk down to reach the bank of Chomorong Khola and again climb up gradually towards Sinuwa. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Sinuwa.

After a delicious breakfast, we wake up and get ready for the short and easy Annapurna trek. Leaving Sinwa, we proceed with a pleasing walk to Kuldi Ghar. We take around three hours to reach Kuldighar. From here, we follow a clearing in the forest and drop steeply amidst the bamboo trees to the bank of a river. We walk past the pastures of Tomo and follow a small trail. Finally, we climb up the trail until we reach Deurali. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Deurali.

After breakfast, we set out for the most important day of our trek. Today, we head towards Annapurna Base Camp at an elevation of 4130 meters above sea level. Leaving Deurali, we hike towards Macchapucchre Base Camp, enjoying the stunning views of glaciers, mountains, and moraines. The close-up views of Mt. Macchapucchre and Gangapurna look fabulous! From Macchapucchre Base Camp, we move further towards Base Camp. Upon arrival, the place will reward us with some amazing views of mountains such as Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Macchapucchre, Mt. Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna. Being at the base camp is truly a moment of delight. Tonight, we will spend the night at a guesthouse there.

It’s an interesting morning in this heavenly place, full of mountains around us. We enjoy our breakfast and explore the base camp for a while. We savor the beauty of the mountains as we wander around. After spending some quality time in base camp, we embark on our return journey. Today, we descend steeply until we reach Bamboo. Tonight, we will spend the night at a guesthouse in Bamboo.

Leaving Bamboo, we retrace our steps from the Annapurna Short Trek back via the same trail to Chomorong. From Chomorong, we take a different path that goes through lush rhododendron trees and bamboo fields. The trail descends steeply until we reach Jhinu Danda. Jhinu Danda is a trendy place in the region. It is popular for its natural hot springs. Upon arrival, you can enjoy a hot water bath in the natural hot springs of Jhinu. It would be a retreat to soothe your nerves and body aches after a long day of walking. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Jhinu Danda.

After a great sleep in Jhinu Danda, our day starts with a delicious breakfast in the guesthouse. We enjoy breakfast and get ready for our walk toward Siwai. We slowly and gradually put our steps forward toward Siwai. Upon arrival, we catch a vehicle that will drive us back to Pokhara. If time permits, we can visit the lakeside town of Pokhara for a while. Then you will be headed to Pokhara Airport for a flight to Kathmandu. After an hour, you will find yourself in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel room in Kathmandu. Tonight, spend the night at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, your Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek Itinerary ends. You have two choices for today: fly home from Kathmandu or continue your travels to some other destinations around the globe.
